Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about window replacement, door installation, and rebates.
General
How long does window replacement take?+
Most residential window replacements take 1–3 days depending on the number of windows. We work efficiently to minimize disruption to your home, and our crews clean up thoroughly after each day of work.
Are you licensed and insured in Ontario?+
Absolutely. Arev Windows & Doors is fully licensed to operate in Ontario and carries $2 million in liability insurance plus WSIB coverage, giving you complete peace of mind.
What areas of the GTA do you serve?+
We serve Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Etobicoke, Scarborough, and Oakville. Contact us if you're unsure whether we cover your specific area.
Do you offer warranties?+
Yes. All our installations include the manufacturer's warranty on products (typically 10–25 years on windows, 5–10 years on doors) plus our own workmanship guarantee.

Rebates
Do you help with government rebate applications?+
Yes! We're experts in the Canada Greener Homes Grant process. We guide you through every step — from the required energy audit to submitting your claim — at no extra charge.
Who qualifies for the Canada Greener Homes Grant?+
Canadian homeowners who own and live in their primary residence may qualify. Eligible property types include detached, semi-detached, row houses, and some condos. A pre and post-installation energy audit is required.
How much can I get back?+
The grant provides up to $200 per window and up to $250 per door, to a maximum of $5,000 per household. Use our rebate calculator at arevwindows.ca/rebates to estimate your eligibility.
Are there other Ontario rebates available?+
Yes. In addition to the federal grant, Ontario residents may also qualify for the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate and certain municipal programs. Ask us for a complete picture when you get your quote.
Residential
What window styles do you install?+
We install casement, awning, double-hung, single-hung, slider, picture, bay, bow, and garden windows in a wide range of sizes, styles, and finishes.
What's the difference between double-pane and triple-pane windows?+
Double-pane windows provide good insulation and are suitable for most GTA climates. Triple-pane windows add an extra glass layer for superior energy efficiency — ideal if you're targeting maximum rebate eligibility or have a particularly drafty home.
Do you remove and dispose of old windows?+
Yes — we handle full removal and responsible disposal of your old windows and doors as part of every installation. No extra work required from you.
Can you match the style of my existing windows?+
In most cases, yes. We work with suppliers who offer a wide range of styles, colours, and finishes to match your home's existing architecture.
Commercial
Do you handle Ontario Fire Code documentation?+
Yes. We provide all required certifications and documentation confirming your doors meet Ontario Fire Code requirements for your occupancy type — essential for building inspections and insurance.
Can you install automatic door openers for accessibility?+
Absolutely. We install AODA-compliant automatic door operators for both new and existing commercial door openings, with all necessary electrical and mounting work.
Do you work with property managers and contractors?+
Yes — we work directly with property managers, GCs, and building owners on multi-unit and commercial projects. We offer volume pricing for larger projects and can coordinate with your construction schedule.
Do you offer maintenance agreements for commercial clients?+
Yes — ask us about our annual inspection and maintenance agreements to keep your commercial doors in top condition and ensure ongoing Fire Code compliance.
